Chief Operations Officer
Stephen Zimmerman serves as the Chief Operations Officer of It’s Doggy Time, bringing over 15 years of military service and more than a decade of hands-on experience working with Military Working Dogs in the United States Air Force. As a Military Working Dog Handler, Trainer, and Kennel Master, Stephen has trained explosive detection and patrol dogs, developed advanced behavior training programs, and managed high-level operational missions both stateside and overseas.
His extensive background working with high-drive, anxious, and behaviorally challenging dogs has helped shape the calm, fear-free approach that defines It’s Doggy Time today. Stephen is passionate about helping dogs feel safe, comfortable, and confident during the grooming process, especially pets who may have had stressful grooming experiences in the past.
Behind the scenes, Stephen oversees daily operations, appointment systems, routing efficiency, and the design of our premium mobile grooming units to ensure every client receives a seamless luxury experience from start to finish. From sourcing high-quality equipment to developing streamlined grooming procedures, his focus is creating a safe, efficient, and stress-free environment for pets of all sizes — from tiny Chihuahuas to powerful Rottweilers.

Rebecca Zimmerman is the Founder and Master Groomer of It’s Doggy Time, bringing together over a decade of veterinary technician experience with a lifelong passion for animal care. After serving 6 years in the United States Air Force Security Forces, Rebecca transitioned into veterinary medicine, where she spent the past 10 years working hands-on with animals in both Colorado Springs, Colorado and Hillsboro, North Dakota.
Her extensive veterinary background provides a deep understanding of animal anatomy, behavior, skin and coat health, and overall wellness — allowing her to deliver far more than just a beautiful groom. At It’s Doggy Time, every appointment is approached with a wellness-focused mindset, helping pets not only look their best, but feel their best too.
Rebecca specializes in breed-specific grooming techniques, precision hand scissoring, and customized styling tailored to each pet’s individual coat type, lifestyle, and personality. After earning her professional grooming certification through Penn Foster Grooming School, she continued refining advanced grooming techniques designed to create seamless blends, balanced trims, and polished finishes — from teddy bear cuts and puppy cuts to full breed-standard grooming.
Known for her calm and compassionate approach, Rebecca works especially well with anxious, senior, and behaviorally sensitive pets. Her veterinary experience allows her to recognize stress signals early and adjust handling techniques to create a safer, more comfortable grooming experience. Through trusted partnerships with local veterinary professionals, additional options can also be coordinated for pets requiring specialized or sedated grooming care.
Above all, Rebecca’s passion is creating a luxury grooming experience centered around patience, safety, quality, and genuine compassion. Whether caring for cats, dogs, or difficult-to-handle pets, her goal is always the same: to help every animal leave feeling clean, comfortable, confident, and loved.
